I am hoping to hear from Erik about when and where to ship them so they can be in Perils. But he doesnt seem to have been too active this summer. |

No tidbits! Post more!
That's actually really cool. The armor you've given him really looks somewhat like stone.
Can't wait to see more of this guy. |

hmmmm stone ehh? maybe I will have to work that angle on my next one. The material is rather awesome it is yet another of the two part epoxy sticks called quick steel. I finished him today, I just dont have any batteries in my camera. So pics tomorrow. |

Quicksteel, huh? That's interesting. I'll have to look into it...but perhaps they should change the name to Quickstone.
Can't wait to see the new pics. |

Not bad at all. If you didn't include that pic from behind with the Maisto license plate on the bike, y'would of had me.
What does that quick steel stuff smell like?
I'm a bit curious, cause I picked up some Mighty Putty to plug a leak, and figured I'd use what's left over for kb'ing use. I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep with that plan. That stuff smells awful. (Ever been around someone while or immediately after getting their hair permed? It's like that.)
Also, did you sand the Quick-Steel stuff before painting? It doesn't look like it has a rocky texture as it did. |

all of the two part epoxies stink to high heaven. yes exactly like right after your gramma gets a home perm. I sanded the QS before I took the initial photos. I think the closeups enhanced the rockiness of the stuff.
I wish I had the ability to build a bike like that. I happenned accross a shelf of them at walmart and knew I had to make a kini to ride it. I cant remember what section of the toy isle it as in. They had a couple different kinds but that is the one I liked the best. |
