. . . such as Scud: The Disposable Assassin, Usagi Yojimbo, and the original, Mirage-style Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's probably just a pipe dream, but those would be very cool.
Tried Usagi and Playmates has the master license and won't use it. TMNT can't be done playmates has the master toy license for all figures. We might get model kits in a kini size for TMNT. And Scud as a full size figure would rock but I tried contacting the guy and his and his brothers e-mails don't work!
Thanks for the welcome. Playmates has the license but won't use it? Man, that bites. With so many characters to draw from, an Usagi line would be awesome.
We contacted the fansite found the owner. Then his agent contacted uus and said Playmates has the rights. We were downed, I def wanted to do a line either full or kinis!
yea thats what we wanted but now even that is hard we contacted them and they are being weird about it. Saying kinis are too close to what Playmate makes! I don't think so KINIS are like nothing out there!
They must mean action figures in general--and I mean a VERY general sense--because Playmates produces nothing remotely like Shockinis.
To be honest, I never have been a big fan of Playmates, and I wish that Laird would have gone with another company when the Turtles figures relaunched a few years ago.
Guess this just means a run on green kinis for awhile. Oh, and you should add some rabbit ears to the kini animal pack, maybe.
Can't remember if I asked about Impact Comics characters before or not. (short-lived comic line by DC in the 90's, owned by Archie Comics now), and Antarctic Press does some good manga-style comics. Their most famous (I think) Is Gold Digger, followed by Ninja High School.
How about Cerebus the Aarvark? He'd make a cool figure. I mentioned it in another thread but I'd really like to see Destroyer Duck (I believe he was created by Steve Gerber and Jack Kirby). And, although it would have to be an adult line, how about Faust? The characters there would make for killer action figures.
Cerebus is a no go the creator wants to do nothing with the character anymore it's a shame! I will check out the others oh and Scud is a possibility we got ahold of him.
You first have to track down the controller of the merchadising rights. Then send a proposal then work out a contract. And poof a new action figure lol!

Paperwork and begging...not necessarily in that order. And for me, a little "Tell Geoff I'm expecting an email from so and so, so we can get moving."
Oh yeah...Geoff, I'm expecting an email from so and so (actually so and so's agent), so we can get moving. It's one of the ones I emailed you about last night.
